This is a really jazzy Lea Stein fox brooch. The fox was one of Lea Stein's earliest designs but this one is modern. I just love the pattern. I have been selling Lea Stein for many years and am always pleased when I get a brooch that I have not had before! I have had loads of the fox design over the years - but never this pattern. The colours are great! It has a couple of areas on the back that are not shiny - but this happens on hand made pieces. The backs are not always perfect. Do beware of the brooches that look very similar to Lea Stein that are appearing on the market. Apart from a few early pieces, Lea Stein brooches are marked on the back - 'Lea Stein Paris'. I have been selling Lea Stein jewellery for many years and have the greatest admiration for the Steins. They have worked very hard to produce great designs that people love to wear. They are still making their hand made jewellery and produce a couple of new designs each year. The colours and textures are endless. I have been rather angry recently to find copies of their jewellery on sale in markets and Ebay. These are not marked with the Lea Stein Paris pin but the brooches are very close in design to the Lea Stein pieces. If people want to produce - for example - cat brooches - why don't they design their own pieces! All of Lea Stein p

Here's a stylish Art Deco brooch. It's square - with white past stones. Inset is a black glass ring and in the center there is a faceted, open backed glass stone. It is not very big - about 1 3/10ths inch square - but is good quality and in good condition. Reference 2437 B110/10. Price £88 - further details on my web site - www.gillianhorsup.com - where you will see other items of Art Deco.

Here's an Art Deco double ended short hat pin. This would have been worn in a cloche style hat. It is made of black celluloid with white paste stones. One end unscrews so that you can put the pin through and fasten it. Would look good on a jacket lapel. Price £40. Reference 2431 B110/5 - www.gillianhorsup.com

So glad to get this iconic moving heads, celluloid scottie dogs brooch. They used to be more readily available - but now I find them difficult to find in good condition. This one is fine. The heads move but do not flop about! The colours are good and there are no chips. See full description on my web site - www.gillianhorsup.com - reference 2423 B110/56 price £55.
