This brooch was made for Queen Victoria's Silver Jubilee in 1886/7. It has a Chester Hallmark for 1886. I think it is one of the better commemorative brooches for the Jubilee - at least it has a picture of Victoria on it. This is a Givenchy vintage brooch in the shape of a flower basket. It has red, blue and green glass stones and diamente. I think it is a 1980's brooch in the style of an earlier period. See the full description on my web site - www.gillianhorsup.com - reference 2598 B123/1 (In the white paste section). As I say in my description - it is often the back of a piece that gives the date away - so look at the back of the brooch on my web site. Price £135.

Here's another for the Lea Stein fans - a double Felix the cat brooch. Double brooches are always more difficult to get, take much more work to make and unfortunately cost more! I haven't had this one for ages. These cheeky cats are £85, reference 2593 B132/27 www.gillianhorsup.com - or at Grays Antiques in central London. #LeaSteinBrooch #LeaSteinDoubleFelix

A lot of celluloid jewellery was made at the time - here are a few pieces! Some of it was licenced by Disney and some was not! Do you have any of the jewellery? www.gillianhorsup.com
