Here are some Art Deco solid perfume pots from the 1920/30s. Some of these are in my shop and others are part of my collection. They are very small - under 1 inch usually. They are made of bakelite or celluloid and have great painted pictures on them - usually flowers or ladies. They are such a great thing to collect as they take up so little space. Please contact me if you collect and wish to purchase. Prices usually range from about £20-£40. Larger ones can cost more. www.gillianhorsup.com and at Grays Antiques in central London.

This is the iconic 1950's Kigu flying saucer compact. There were 3 types made - the one with the musical movement, this one without and a plain gilt one. The enamelled one came in different colours - but the deep blue was the most common colour. There was a lot of interest in space travel in the 1950's. There is a full description of the compact on my web site - www.gillianhorsup.com - reference 2616 b133/36 price £295 together with a condition report.

Here's a large Art Deco hat flash or cloche pin. These were worn in the hats of the period and had short pins. This would come with a hat pin end. They could be worn in a hat, beret or on a jacket lapel. They could also brighten up a Deco clutch bag. Full details on my web site - www.gillianhorsup.com - price £35 reference 2615 J.

I just love these gold plated bracelets. They are machine cut, flexible and very good quality. I usually have a selection in stock. (If you are visiting my shop at Grays antiques please do let me know before hand if you want to see a selection - not everything on the web site is in the shop - not enough room!). See full details on my web site under 'vintage bracelets'. They are usually about 8 inches in length and priced between £65 and £75. Reference 2610.

I love enamel and this mid century modern brooch by J. Tostrup fits the bill! It is in a vibrant blue colour. It is marked 'Sterling J Tostrup Norway'. As it does not have a British (or equivalent) Hall mark it cannot be sold as Sterling in this country. However Tostrup is a very respected Norwegian firm so I am quite happy about it. Full details are on my web site - including dimensions. Ref: 2606 B130/7 Price £115 - and there are more photos.
