This has to be one of my favourite Lea Stein brooches. It is the hedgehog in a snakeskin pattern - surrounded by a black outline, face and feet. It will be really sorry when this sells! Lea Stein at her best! Full details on my web site - www.gillianhorsup.com - reference 2764 C7/50 price £65. I always have a good selection of Lea Stein brooches in my shop at Grays Antiques - do visit if you can.

These clip earrings certainly make a statement and are probably from the 1980's - when such large earrings were popular. They are probably unused and are in good condition. They clips are tight and the pearls unscratched. Great for a night out! Full details on my web site - www.gillianhorsup.com - price £55 reference 2763 C7/16. I usually have a good stock of large, gold tone, 1980's clip earrings.

I do have trouble trying to decide what date some of my pieces of vintage jewellery were made. This brooch is an example. I am sure it is not an original Art Nouveau piece but it has the correct push pull clasp for the period. I am also sure it is not modern - it is probably silver plated on brass (due to the weight). I think there were quite a lot of Art Nouveau style pieces made in the 1970's - but this is just a guess! Anyway it is an impressive brooch - probably made in France (where it was recently bought) and it is in good condition. It measures approx 3 x 2 inches. See my web site - www.gillianhorsup - price £75. Reference 2761 C8/38

I love jewellery - both antique and vintage! I have been dealing in vintage jewellery for at least 35 years - and collecting for much longer. I sell right across the board - from vintage plastics to Victorian - but not the high end pieces - no gold! Most of the items in my shop at Grays Antiques are under £100 and lots of people come in for presents, weddings and if they are going somewhere special! Grays also attracts the collectors - and I have compacts, bakelite, Art Deco, Czech. jewellery etc. to cater for people interested in something special. Here is a picture of some of my inexpensive plastics - just right for summer!

Here's an Art Deco period white metal necklace with 3 foiled glass cabochon stones. The stones are a bit paler than the picture and are mainly greens. It is probably Czech. I love this period of jewellery and always have a good selection. www.gillianhorsup.com reference 2759 BB price £98.

I sell all periods of vintage jewellery but particularly love Art Deco pieces. This blue glass and white metal necklace is so unusual. The beads are patterned - the larger one have circles in the middle. Full details are on my web site - www.gillianhorsup.com - reference 2756 C7/5 price £95. I will be doing the Eltham Palace Art Deco fair in May - full details on their web site. Eltham Palace has had major renovations and would definitely be worth a visit!
